What a magnificent place to spend my 2011 Christmas holiday! Three wonderful days at Villa Platani (not long enough) were amazing. Teresa and Clive, our hosts, were so very gracious and treated us like royalty. The rooms and villa décor are elegant, beds luxurious, bathroom fantastic and so many lovely amenities in the rooms.

The view from the balcony each morning was breathtaking and from the rooftop even more so .A simple delicious breakfast was served each morning on lovely china with beautiful table linens.

There is warmth, charm, elegance and luxury in Villa Platani thanks to the creativity and hospitality of Teresa and Clive.. They shared many fascinating stories of the villa to a captivated guest and there is more history of this treasure in Cianciana still unfolding.

The decision to stay at Villa Platani proved to be the perfect one - it offered the opportunity to experience the wonderful culture and offerings in close proximity to the town centre in an accommodation that reflects the history of the region and the ‘Richness’ of the buildings and architecture

Upon entering the villa you are drawn to the light and space of the central stairwell which gives you an immediate sense of a romantic and classical period.. My spacious and well appointed room with en-suite set a new standard in comfort and amenity for me (one that will be hard to top) … the 360 degree view from the villas rooftop terrace of the town, surrounding regions, mountain ranges and sea is stunning, worthy of a special occasion

We stayed at Villa Platani in October 2011 as the first guests ever. The place had not been officially opened, but we were welcomed by the owners Teresa and Clive in an open and most open-hearted way. The room was excellent at a very affordable price, better than any hotel at the same price level. We could even enjoy our own small balcony with a marvellous view. The building is old and they have managed to restore it in the original and rather high-level styles in all details. The colour, the furniture and other equipment are beautiful and functional, in the guest rooms as well. And maybe the most important issue, the good atmosphere in this house makes you feel at home.

Villa Platani is at present the only accommodation available in charming Cianciana but it must be the best choice for a pleasant stay in this part of the Agrigento province. We would like to give this place top scores on all possible levels.

What a pleasure it was to spend the 2011 Christmas holidays at the Villa Platani. When you enter this lovely quiet villa you are warmly greeted by Teresa as you stand in awe of the natural stone walls and awesome décor of the breakfast room below you. As you look up you see the tiled risers on the stairs, tall ceilings and exquisite light fixtures and decorations above, leading you to the guest rooms.

In your guest room you are surrounded by luxury Italian Fretta linens and a lovely private bathroom equipped to meet all your needs. The hospitality and breakfast is “second to none” but the greatest surprise of all is to hear the unfolding storey of the renovation and the History of the structure itself. This will truly be a memory you will treasure for a lifetime.
