In December 2012 my brother and I went to Sicily for the first time to visit the land of our grandparents. We stayed at Villa Platani for 4 days and nights and it was a terrific way to enjoy Sicily, I've never felt so spolied. The beds are comfy, the water is soft, the room temperatures are easily regulated, the breakfasts are fresh and healthy, the views are incredible and the architectural design of Villa Platani is a photographer's delight inside and out.

Cianciana is a lovely town and close to the places we wanted to visit. Clive and Terese's hospitality was thoughtful, caring and helpful. I hope to return!

Our recent stay at Villa Platani was flawless. This property captures the charm and ambience of traditional Sicilian village life, while offering all the conveniences of modern amenities........the best of two worlds! Teresa and Clive are the ultimate hosts......friendly and helpful are understatements. This was a "discover my roots" trip as my maternal grandfather was from Cianciana. Teresa was instrumental in helping me locate a cousin I did not know was still in Cianciana! The property has been beautifully restored and impeccably decorated. We will definitely return and strongly recommend Villa Platani to anyone wanting a true Sicilian experience.

The owners, Clive and Teresa were most welcoming hosts you can imagine and made to feel at home immediately, we were delighted with our stay here. This hotel is superbly situated, minutes walk from the town centre and 15 minutes drive to the beach The Hotel is wonderfully decorated and furnished, Incredibly comfortable, lots of extras, such as luxurious towels, toiletries and gowns, thoughtful drinks table and complimentary milk and water. Our room had the balcony overlooking the garden. We are not breakfast people but would say the breakfast always looked wonderful. We would highly recommend and we would go back and stay. I stayed at Villa Platani with my wife in October, the hotel is 10/10 and has been restored to its former glory with no expense spared. We could not fault anything and Clive & Teresa are fantastic and attentive hosts, nothing to much trouble whatever the time!. I doubt you will find accommodation to better this in the area, so don't delay and book now. This is my first ever review as I don't do them but some things need sharing.

What a pleasure it was to spend the Christmas holidays at the Villa Platani. When you enter this lovely quiet villa you are warmly greeted by Teresa as you stand in awe of the natural stone walls and awesome décor of the breakfast room below you. As you look up you see the tiled risers on the stairs, tall ceilings and exquisite light fixtures and decorations above, leading you to the guest rooms.

In your guest room you are surrounded by luxury Italian Fretta linens and a lovely private bathroom equipped to meet all your needs. The hospitality and breakfast is "second to none" but the greatest surprise of all is to hear the unfolding storey of the renovation and the History of the structure itself. This will truly be a memory you will treasure for a lifetime.
